I used to go to an IFB church. I have no problem with what they believe, and I still say there is much to be admired about them. What I did have a problem with was the legalism. They say we're saved by grace and not by works, but live the opposite.
I worked every other weekend, hospital work is like that, and there was one person always making snide remarks that I wasn't in church last Sunday. I was never in church last Sunday, I had to work! I rarely dressed the part, and was never asked to participate beyond attending and putting my part in the offering plate. I was, though, cordially invited to not be a Sunday school teacher.
I'm a bit of a rebel without a cause, so I grew my hair (I'm male) down to the middle of my back just to tweak the legalists.
If you have a problem with some religious people, don't let that get in the way of your walk with God. Jesus had a problem with religious people, they crucified Him.
